The illustrious Olympian took to Instagram on Monday, July 26, to shine a light-weight on her story as a survivor of abuse after beforehand accusing team doctor Larry Nassar of molesting her from the time she was 13 years outdated.
“From my expertise talking up about abuse is extraordinarily exhausting bodily, mentally, and emotionally,” she began her caption. “From a younger age I used to be taught to work onerous, and persevere.”
The 25-year-old star defined that she’s naturally “a constructive, bubbly individual,” which is why she mentioned, “calling out abusers, and dwelling on all of the darkish unfavourable items of my previous felt extraordinarily flawed for me.”
“I hated the miserable tone my life took on, and the way the media portrayed me,” she shared. “I by no means needed to be seen as a sufferer, I simply needed Larry Nassar in jail, and the individuals who enabled the abuse to be held accountable.”
